The Brentwood Home factory in Los Angeles is a certified organic facility, ensuring the highest standards for organic materials, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of our entire supply chain. We are publicly listed in the GOTS database for transparency and trust. We clearly label our materials and finished products that are organic certified.

Climate Neutral Certified, Offsetting Our Carbon
Brentwood Home has worked with Climate Neutral to measure its carbon footprint across every scope of our business, from our factory and material production to logistics and shipping. We’ve reduced what we can, even powering our factory with 100% renewable energy. And we’ve officially offset 100% of the rest. Brentwood is an Avocado Green Brands business, all of which are certified Climate Neutral. We are one of the only certified mattress and bedding brands in America.

Since 1993, the Forest Stewardship Council has been the leading authority on sustainable forest management. Being FSC certified validates that Brentwood Home complies with the highest social and environmental standards for environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Our factory, woods, and latex forests are all proudly certified.

Recycling Claim Standards
We use the RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) to track recycled raw materials through our supply chain. The RCS verifies the presence and amount of recycled material in our final products, with third-party chain-of-custody verification of recycled material content claims on our products. The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is similar, but applies to full products and vets social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. Brentwood Home is currently finalizing both standards.

Nearing Zero Waste
As part of Avocado Green Brands, we are the first home and bedding brand to achieve the UL Environment Landfill Waste Diversion Validation, on our journey toward Zero Waste. The UL standard requires at least 90 percent diversion through methods other than waste to energy. We are on our way to achieve 95% or greater within the next 12 months to achieve Zero Waste validation — an incredible achievement!

Products achieving the Greenguard Gold Certification are scientifically proven (with testing in environmental chambers) to meet some of the world's most rigorous, third-party chemical emissions standards, helping to reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure, while aiding in the creation of healthier indoor environments. Nearly all Brentwood Home products have achieved this gold standard.
